In my career as a 'comms guy' I've worked in the private, public and NGO sectors.

I specialise in working on organisations' reputations, understanding where they're at and helping them to improve. I have developed communication strategies for major multinational organisations, political parties and smaller local businesses.

Through my work and play time I've built up excellent relationships with a wide range of reporters throughout the country; and my work in politics has provided me with strong networks with those in Parliament.

With nearly 25 years in PR and marketing—more than half of that focused on media relations—I’ve worked across the industry from in-house corporate roles to boutique PR agencies and, for the last 19 years, running my own firms: Rockstar PR, LOUD in Public, and now Draper Cormack Group with David.

I come from an entrepreneurial family of hard graft. Working across multiple businesses and not having a regular job is standard. And so I’ve lived through just about every business challenge imaginable. That experience has shaped my approach to coaching businesses and individuals on how to grow their businesses and tell their stories effectively. Whether it’s securing mainstream media coverage, crafting compelling owned content, or finding the right platform as a contributor, every story has a home—it’s just about knowing where to place it.

Reputation matters. Helping people elevate their personal brands—whether to advance their careers or grow their businesses—is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
